Bills Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The coach’s orders are clear: Caution is still the best policy when dealing with a head injury.

With a bye week to play with, the Bills remain extra cautious with their young star quarterback, who suffered a concussion in last Sunday’s 41-17 loss at Arizona on the game’s third play and did not return.

His status for Buffalo’s next game, Oct. 19 against San Diego, remains officially undetermined.

Edwards’ right-hand man

It was moments before the third quarter of last Sunday’s game against the Rams. Through the first two quarters Trent Edwards had been aggressively blitzed, was sacked four times, had thrown an interception and managed a passer rating of just 43.5. Game Day Tipsheet: Week 5

Top 3 Individual Matchups 1. Jabari Greer vs. Larry Fitzgerald: Fitzgerald has a clear height advantage, but Greer has faced big receivers before and been successful. Case in point Greer faced Terrell Owens last season in Week 5 and held him to two catches for 25 yards. As an added bonus, if Boldin doesn’t play Buffalo can roll safety help over the top of Greer if they deem it necessary.

Bills bounced by Cards

Bills look to regroup in bye week

The 41-17 result Sunday at Arizona certainly wasn’t anything the Bills wanted to take with them into their bye week, or any other week for that matter. But the team is looking at the big picture with respect to the first five weeks of their season, and will try to improve their performance as they use the bye to prepare for the meat of their 2008 schedule.
