It was moments before the third quarter of last Sunday’s game against the Rams. Through the first two quarters Trent Edwards had been aggressively blitzed, was sacked four times, had thrown an interception and managed a passer rating of just 43.5. But before taking the field for the third quarter third quarterback Gibran Hamdan offered some words.

The Bishop Timon St. Jude Tigers are off to an undefeated, 4-0 start after ending Cardinal O’Hara’s 24-game win streak against Monsignor Martin Association opponents. Connor Kobis (19 of 25, 197 yards) threw for three touchdowns in the second half while fellow senior Fran Marinaro had nine catches for 97 yards and two scores as the Tigers clawed the Hawks, 24-7, Saturday September 27th in a non-league game. Jon Jackson, a senior, was a two-way standout, catching a touchdown from Kobis and returning an interception 45 yards for Timon’s first score.

There weren’t many more details Monday on Terrence McGee’s left knee, which was injured early in Sunday’s game and forced him to watch the rest of Buffalo’s comeback win over St. Louis. But the sprain was serious enough to have the Bills medical staff take a closer look.
